Job Overview

The Warehouse Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of our inventory system at Zimmerman Plumbing & Heating, Inc.. This position involves a variety of responsibilities that ensure our warehouse operations run smoothly and effectively.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse.
  • Manage physical inventory and assist in stock management.
  • Coordinate the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
  • Maintain consistent communication with both office and field personnel.
  • Utilize company dispatch software for efficient operations.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in essential computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Receive and restock supplies from vendors, ensuring inventory levels are adequate.
  • Order necessary materials and equipment for ongoing projects.
  • Prepare all materials and tools required for job installations ahead of schedule.
  • Assist in the upkeep and maintenance of company tools and resources.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of company property.
  • Perform tasks independently without direct supervision.
  • Handle the transportation of materials as needed.
  • Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company standards.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures diligently.
  • Process returns and warranty claims for equipment and materials.

Work Environment:

This role primarily takes place in an office-like setting, with regular computer work. Occasional tasks may require time spent in the warehouse or at job sites, including driving to various locations. The position may involve exposure to various weather conditions and driving hazards.

  • Physical capability to perform all outlined duties safely in diverse weather conditions.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles within a specified timeframe.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work conditions and unexpected challenges.
  • Successful completion of a background check, physical examination, and drug screening prior to employment.
