Job Overview

Position Summary: The Ink Jet Printing Specialist is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of ink jet printing machinery and its associated systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain ink jet printing equipment, including all related electrical, mechanical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
  • Diagnose and analyze issues by monitoring performance indicators and identifying problems.
  • Update troubleshooting documentation to reflect current data and findings.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of parts and supplies utilized during repair processes.
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained to facilitate timely repairs.
  • Track and manage all bag taggers, including repairs and ordering of necessary components.
  • Conduct troubleshooting, timing, and repairs on mailheads and their control systems.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance alerts and notifications.
  • Maintain technical skills and knowledge to effectively perform assigned tasks.
  • Complete job documentation daily using the MP2 maintenance software system.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.

Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, ensuring the ability to read and write effectively. A minimum of two years of experience as an Ink Jet Technician or in a similar production line role is preferred. A combination of three years of experience in an industrial or production maintenance environment, along with post-secondary technical training, is also acceptable.
