Position Title: Senior Culinary Specialist

Employment Type: Full Time and Part Time opportunities available, with shifts typically scheduled between 11am - 7:30pm.

Compensation: Starting at $20/hour, plus an additional $1 shift differential for hours worked after 3pm and on weekends.

Qualifications for the Senior Culinary Specialist Role:

  • A Culinary degree or equivalent training in the Hospitality/Restaurant/Dining Sector is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Food Safety Manager Certification is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of safety, sanitation, and food handling protocols.
  • Basic knowledge of production and operations across all relevant kitchen areas.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in the use of knives and culinary equipment.

Key Responsibilities as a Senior Culinary Specialist:

  • Prepare high-quality food items according to established recipes and standards to meet service timelines for residents and guests, including techniques such as sautéing, braising, grilling, batch cooking, frying, and preparation.
  • Adhere to industry standards for food preparation, serving, and storage.
  • Consistently prepare meals according to recipes.
  • Ensure food preparation is completed for subsequent shifts.
  • Accurately complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks.
  • Document production and waste consistently.
  • Follow recipes precisely and consistently.
  • Monitor inventory daily to maintain appropriate levels and quality.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen by adhering to safety standards.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the kitchen area.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
