Position Overview:
Job Title: Healthcare Contact Center Representative
Type: Hybrid
Department: Operations
Hours: Mon-Fri 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Salary: $18-20 per hour
Incentives:

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, referring providers, insurance companies, and other medical facilities.
- Manage the scheduling of new patient visits by handling a high volume of inbound calls and making outbound calls to patients requesting appointments.
- Ensure patients understand the mission of Pelvic Rehabilitation Medicine and facilitate easy appointment bookings.
- Set performance standards in a fast-paced call center environment that promotes internal sales culture.
- Engage with patients to ensure every interaction results in an appointment or satisfactory resolution of their inquiries.
Essential Duties:
- Respond to inquiries from patients and providers via an automated phone system, managing a high volume of calls daily.
- Achieve performance targets aligned with business objectives.
- Assist existing patients with rescheduling appointments, medication requests, and other needs.
- Efficiently route patient calls to appropriate departments while ensuring accurate data entry.
- Listen attentively to patient concerns and convey professionalism in all interactions.
- Collect and document necessary clinical, demographic, and financial information during the scheduling process.
- Process bill payments and handle other administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Experience handling Protected Health Information (PHI) and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced call center environment.
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to analyze complex schedules.
- Prior customer service experience in a healthcare setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent; 1+ years of healthcare experience preferred.
- College degree and sales experience in a customer service context.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and prior experience in a medical practice.
- Strong clerical and communication skills, with effective organizational abilities.
