Reporting directly to the Senior Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, the Associate Director, Academic Programs plays a pivotal role in managing the centralized Academic Programs Office.

This position involves collaboration with senior management, academic deans, program leaders, faculty, and administrative staff. The Associate Director is tasked with the oversight of the development, execution, and assessment of academic programs across the Elliott School, providing leadership to subordinate staff members. This role also includes partnership with assistant deans and faculty on program design and outreach efforts to enhance the School's operations and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership

  • Supervises a team of full-time professionals and program coordinators.
  • Oversees staff performance by setting team objectives, offering training, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Manages staff workload and allocates assignments effectively.
  • Recruits, interviews, and trains new staff, ensuring alignment with future staffing needs.

Program Oversight

  • Contributes to strategic planning and goal-setting initiatives within ESIA.
  • Acts as the primary administrative contact for curriculum development, collaborating with program directors and relevant university offices.
  • Leads projects related to curriculum quality and program development, including surveys and student applications.
  • Works with deans to draft and finalize assessment reports and maintain oversight of academic offerings.
  • Conducts market research to inform program strategy and planning.
  • Assists ESIA leadership in managing assessment software and data systems.
  • Collaborates with the Admissions Director to manage international partnership agreements, focusing on curriculum quality.

Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed, ensuring alignment with the role's objectives.

This position operates in a hybrid model, requiring both in-person and remote work.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 6 years of professional experience, or a Master's degree in a related discipline with at least 4 years of relevant experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered.
