Job Overview

The Lead Program Coordinator is tasked with overseeing the development of client-focused products and projects, guiding them from initial engagement through to production. This role also encompasses managing various company initiatives as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Management: Maintain oversight of customer accounts, ensuring effective communication and coordination of projects.
  • Project Leadership: Direct customer and company programs/projects, facilitating collaboration among various functional teams.
  • Progress Tracking: Monitor projects from early stages through to production/implementation, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets, while regularly updating supervisors and executive staff as necessary.
  • Recovery Planning: Formulate and execute recovery strategies for projects that fall behind schedule or encounter unforeseen challenges.
  • Quality Assurance: Guarantee that products meet or exceed the company's quality standards and are delivered punctually.
  • Procurement Oversight: Manage sourcing of products, components, and materials, including identifying suppliers, purchasing, and overseeing the supply chain.
Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty effectively. The following qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in product and project management.
  • Technical expertise in precision machining and mechanical assembly processes.
  • Experience within an ISO certified quality management framework.
  • Proven track record in leading process improvement initiatives.
  • Understanding of strategic planning, sales, marketing, finance, and general business operations in manufacturing.
Competencies
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Capability to set and achieve short and long-term objectives in a structured manner.
  • Skill in prioritizing tasks and responding promptly to internal and external inquiries.
  • Ability to perform all job duties independently and efficiently.
Language Proficiency

Must possess the ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents, financial reports, and legal materials. Should be capable of responding to inquiries from customers and regulatory bodies, as well as preparing written materials for publication.

Reasoning Skills

Ability to address practical problems and navigate various concrete variables in situations with limited standardization. Must be able to interpret diverse instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic forms.

Physical Requirements

Depending on the assignment, this role may require the ability to visit different locations and the capacity to handle light to medium weights. Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity are necessary for operating equipment and reading technical information.

Work Environment

This position is primarily office-based but may involve occasional travel to other business units. There may be exposure to safety and health hazards associated with manufacturing activities.
