The Solar Project Lead (SPL) is integral to identifying new business prospects and spearheading significant residential and commercial initiatives for EcoSolar USA Electrical. The SPL oversees project execution, from initial technical sales assistance to system setup and activation. This position entails representing EcoSolar USA Electrical in client and stakeholder discussions, industry exhibitions, and seminars. The SPL articulates product attributes, advantages, and technical ideas effectively to align with client requirements.

Compensation:

$75,000 - $85,000

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all technical facets of solar installations from site evaluation to project completion, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Maintain project timelines, devise schedules, and coordinate personnel and materials to ensure timely project delivery within budget constraints.
  • Examine project documentation, specifications, and installation guidelines to confirm that the project adheres to approved designs and standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive site assessments, including precise measurements of roofing and ground areas, and document structural and electrical configurations.
  • Perform site safety evaluations to assess feasibility and identify potential hazards, leading daily safety briefings.
  • Effectively manage multiple projects through all stages of development.
  • Engage directly with clients regarding technical inquiries and product-related questions.
  • Supervise subcontractors and manage their performance for energy storage initiatives.
  • Coordinate material and equipment deliveries to enhance job efficiency and prevent production delays or extra costs.
  • Oversee MPU and MPU relocations, as well as EV charger installations.
  • Diagnose and resolve PV system performance challenges, identifying and isolating faults.
  • Conduct OEM testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades for a diverse range of renewable energy equipment.
  • Ensure that all personnel operate safely and adhere to safety regulations.
  • Accountable for quality assurance across all work performed by the team and subcontractors.
  • Maintain proficiency in both commercial and residential solar products, permitting processes, and installation practices, providing mentorship to junior team members.
  • Establish and enforce design standards, procedures, policies, and cost analysis protocols, training junior designers on implementation.
  • Respond effectively to production-related challenges as they arise in the field.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure ongoing technical training on engineering requirements.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders as necessary.
  • Provide technical training and support related to system design for the sales team.
  • Responsible for all rental and borrowed equipment from the warehouse.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Operations Director, maintaining flexibility to support organizational goals.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technical, or Science field, or 7+ years of experience in the clean energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of Electric Code and National Electric Code.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong commitment to delivering the highest level of customer service, effectively addressing client inquiries and concerns.
  • Enthusiastic, collaborative team player who thrives in a cooperative environment.
  • Proven capability to navigate all phases of project development from proposals and design to completion and closeout.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with OSHA construction safety standards, particularly regarding fall hazards.
  • Demonstrated urgency and ownership in all tasks assigned.
  • Ability to work closely with team members on a variety of projects.
  • Prepare accurate and timely documentation.
  • Engage in marketing initiatives and business development activities.
  • Regular attendance is a critical component of this role.
