Job Summary

INTEGRIS Health, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking a skilled Medical Equipment Tech to join our team. As a Medical Equipment Tech, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to our patients by coordinating and delivering medical equipment, including respiratory medical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean, disinfect, assemble, and maintain durable medical equipment and respiratory care equipment to ensure optimal functionality and patient safety.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients on the safe and proper use of medical equipment and supplies, as well as physician-prescribed treatments.
  • Supply Management: Assist in organizing and managing supply rooms, including ordering equipment and supplies from vendors and maintaining inventory systems.
  • Data Entry and Communication: Perform data entry, answer phone calls, and direct calls to appropriate staff members, while also responding to patient and referral source inquiries regarding insurance criteria and replenishment processes.
  • Equipment Management: Assist in processing returns for equipment failures and fill CPAP resupply orders in a timely manner.
  • Accreditation and Compliance: Perform accreditation tasks as assigned and ensure adherence to federal, state, local, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Reporting and Supervision: Report to the Branch Manager and maintain a professional working relationship with colleagues and supervisors.
Requirements
  • Experience: Preferred 2 years' experience with Durable Medical Equipment and 2 years' experience with Medicare and other insurance carriers as it pertains to Durable Medical Equipment.
  • Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential for this role.
