JR & Co. is seeking a dedicated Residential Roofing Project Supervisor to enhance our operational efficiency. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in achieving company objectives by ensuring effective communication, delivering high-quality work, and embodying our commitment to integrity, respect, and excellence in service. We are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, and possesses extensive roofing knowledge. The Project Supervisor will set a positive example for the crew and provide exceptional service to the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct job site inspections to ensure accountability and quality, visiting each site daily.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings and site walkthroughs with the Project Manager and/or Foreman.
  • Establish job site setups that comply with OSHA safety regulations to guarantee worker safety.
  • Inspire and motivate foremen and crews to achieve their highest performance levels.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of materials, equipment, and deliveries, utilizing available inventory effectively.
  • Assist in personnel planning and the assignment of crew members to specific jobs.
  • Proactively address potential issues to minimize disruptions and enhance efficiency.
  • Monitor and communicate project completion percentages to the accounting department for billing purposes.
  • Collaborate closely with Quality Control, Safety Management, Inspectors, and Manufacturers.
  • Engage in weekly project meetings to discuss scheduling, challenges, and resolutions.
  • Prepare and submit weekly reports detailing progress, challenges, quality, safety, and other relevant information.
  • Maintain project schedules to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Complete projects efficiently, aiming to finish under budget when possible.
  • Conduct final quality inspections before crew demobilization.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Lead and oversee roofing foremen, crews, and subcontractors, ensuring accurate timekeeping and adherence to safety, quality, scope, schedule, and budget.
Qualifications:
  • 5-10 years of experience in the construction and commercial roofing sector.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a leadership or team management role.
  • Completion of OSHA 30 Hour Training.
  • Certification in rigging, signaling, and equipment operation.
  • Ability to interpret architectural plans, shop drawings, and specifications.
  • Adaptable and enjoys tasks that require frequent changes in direction.
  • Strong time management skills; capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
  • Primarily outdoor work in various weather conditions (approximately 90% fieldwork) with limited indoor office responsibilities (approximately 10%).
  • Ability to perform work at heights, including on rooftops.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of weights over 50 lbs.
  • Regular bending, kneeling, and walking required.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as necessary.
