Role Summary:
The Senior Copywriting Leader will spearhead the creation of compelling long-form content tailored for diverse audiences within the pharmaceutical sector. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our messaging resonates with both healthcare professionals and consumers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development of original copy for various brand initiatives, focusing on both HCP and consumer segments.
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of brand elements, including clinical trials and patient demographics.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with Creative, Account, and Client teams, establishing yourself as the go-to expert for all copy-related inquiries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce copy that aligns with creative briefs and marketing goals.
  • Act as the primary contact for copy development on assigned projects, encompassing both tactical and creative campaigns.
  • Engage with client MLR teams to present ideas and refine concepts based on feedback.
  • Work closely with Editorial to maintain consistency in narrative, tone, and accuracy.
  • Prepare copy for medical/legal review, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
  • Oversee the progression of copy decks and manuscripts from development to launch.
  • Utilize knowledge of interactive content and editorial processes to enhance project outcomes.
  • Generate original content for new initiatives, collaborating with Medical Directors as necessary.
  • Mentor junior copywriters, guiding them in producing high-quality work.

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to identify and nurture strong creative concepts.
  • Exceptional communication skills to advocate for ideas within the creative team and to clients.
  • Extensive experience in pharmaceutical and healthcare marketing.
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.

Requirements:

  • A robust portfolio showcasing a distinctive writing style.
  • Demonstrated success as a creative problem solver with innovative ideas.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in web copywriting, particularly in the pharma/healthcare sector.
  • Experience in writing for healthcare professionals is essential.
  • Background in creating consumer-focused and healthcare professional content.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
