Job OverviewPosition Summary:

B12 is seeking skilled copywriting professionals to enhance our dynamic team. As a vital contributor to our success, you will play a key role in crafting compelling website content that is optimized for search engines.

In this position, you will utilize our innovative website editor to develop SEO-focused copy for our clients, following initial drafts generated by our AI technology. Post-launch, your responsibilities will extend to creating monthly blog content that aligns with SEO strategies. Collaboration with our customer success and design teams will be essential in building and elevating our clients' online presence. Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and interpret client briefs from a diverse range of small to medium-sized enterprises, including cafes and real estate firms.
  • Utilize the B12 Editor to construct an effective information architecture and content strategy, producing tailored copy in a timely manner.
  • Generate monthly blog articles based on a predetermined content calendar, focusing on specific SEO keywords.
  • Conduct keyword research and implement on-page SEO enhancements for each client.
  • Contribute to the evolution of our delivery processes and tools, including the B12 Editor and our open-source workflow management system, Orchestra.

Our experience indicates that copywriters typically invest a few hours on each project, benefiting from iterative feedback. You may manage multiple projects simultaneously while awaiting client and team input.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Proven experience in crafting content for professional services such as legal, dental, and medical fields.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a remote team environment.
  • Exceptional command of written English.
  • 3-5 years of relevant copywriting experience with a focus on client-centered website content.
  • A portfolio showcasing SEO-driven website and blog writing samples.
  • Experience with on-page SEO optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with SEO keyword research methodologies.
  • Availability for approximately 20 hours per week.
  • Skill in transforming unstructured client content into clear, SEO-oriented messaging that reflects their business objectives.
  • Willingness to receive and provide constructive feedback during the creative process.
  • Experience with web-based content management systems.
  • Comfortable working on client deliverables in short, focused sessions.
