Your Responsibilities at TUMI:

As a pivotal member of our team, you will be tasked with managing and refining the brand's voice through engaging storytelling. Your role will involve producing clear and persuasive copy that aligns with strategic and seasonal concepts. You will lead the copywriting team and collaborate closely with graphic designers to create both print and digital marketing materials, while also addressing requests from various departments such as PR, social media, human resources, and customer service.

This position requires you to work on-site four days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely one day a week.

  • Oversee and manage the overall copy requirements of the company while ensuring a consistent brand voice.
  • Compose and refine marketing emails, website content, product descriptions, social media posts (both organic and paid), press releases, packaging, in-store signage, SEO content, product knowledge, and internal communications.
  • Collaborate with global partners to review and approve international creative content, ensuring brand consistency across all markets.
  • Work cross-functionally to generate content and uphold brand standards.
  • Partner with designers to conceptualize and implement comprehensive seasonal campaigns.
  • Utilize customer insights and data to craft inspiring and engaging content.
  • Translate complex product information into accessible, customer-friendly language.
  • Stay informed about relevant industry trends and the sectors that inspire our brand.
  • Act as the marketing liaison for the company's Sustainability committee.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 6 years of professional writing experience in an agency, in-house, or publishing environment.
  • Experience in retail, with a preference for luxury brand exposure.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in English, Creative Writing, Journalism, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • A dynamic portfolio showcasing creative thinking and a passion for storytelling.
  • Meticulous proofreading skills, with an understanding that every detail is crucial.
  • Ability to recognize the nuances in voice across different mediums (email, web pages, print, social media, packaging, etc.).
  • Strong conceptual abilities with an understanding of the relationship between copy, art, design, graphics, and typography.
