Job Summary

Aldevra is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapy Technologist to administer therapeutic doses of ionizing radiation, utilizing advanced linear accelerators and record and verify Treatment Management Systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong integrity, outstanding teamwork skills, and a relentless pursuit of quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient treatment plans and treatment machine parameters prior to treatment.
  • Perform quality assurance tests on treatment units and simulators.
  • Position patients accurately on the treatment table according to protocols.
  • Obtain electronic portal images during treatment, as required.
  • Recognize emergency patient conditions and provide assistance as needed.
  • Maintain electronic charts for patients' setups and treatments.
  • Coordinate with radiation oncologists, physicists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapy Technologist.
  • Successful completion of a program in therapeutic radiologic technology.
  • Meet the credentialing standards in 42 C.F.R. Part 75.
  • Certification in therapeutic radiologic technology by the ARRT in Radiation Therapy (ARRT (T)).
  • BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.
  • Knowledge of specialized areas of therapeutic radiologic technology.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, with some bending and moderate lifting.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft office products.
