About the Role

This position is a key member of the dosimetry team, responsible for designing, developing, and implementing radiation treatment plans for patients undergoing radiation therapy. The successful candidate will possess expertise in the treatment planning system, record and verify system, linear accelerator, simulator, CT scanner, HDR unit, and radioactive sources used for brachytherapy treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop radiation treatment plans for patients undergoing radiation therapy
  • Collaborate with the Radiation Oncologist and Medical Physicist to ensure accurate and effective treatment plans
  • Provide expertise on the treatment planning system, record and verify system, and other relevant equipment
  • Serve as a resource for Staff Medical Dosimetrists, Radiation Therapists, Simulation Therapists, Medical Physicists, and Radiation Oncologists
Requirements
  • Meet the education requirements of the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB) for Certified Medical Dosimetrists (CMDs)
  • Hold a current CMD in good standing
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with CMS Xio, Philips Pinnacle, MOSAIQ, Tomotherapy, and HDR treatment planning
