Your Role and Responsibilities

Contribute to the ALPLA North America Integrated Management and Quality Assurance systems through various projects and initiatives within the regional Quality Department. You will provide essential quality-related support to all ALPLA North America facilities.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Quality System: Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 quality management and FSSC 22000 food safety management systems, along with other relevant standards and regulations.
  • Hazard Analysis: Assist in conducting hazard analysis and maintaining the HACCP program for food products.
  • Audit Preparation: Prepare for and successfully complete internal, customer, and external audit requirements.
  • Measurement and Testing: Collaborate with plants to enhance laboratory and inline measurement and testing systems.
  • Training: Educate plant personnel on testing and measurement protocols.
  • Calibration Standards: Maintain calibration standards for all quality-related equipment.
  • Quality Issues: Support plants in analyzing quality issue trends and implementing improvements based on customer scorecards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead and assist in quality and continuous improvement projects, including the implementation of the NEXT (ALPLA global CIP program).
  • Documentation Control: Aid in maintaining documentation control and optimizing the quality documentation system.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Oversee the Root Cause Analysis process by collaborating with relevant departments to develop corrective action responses.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field preferred, with 1-2 years of relevant experience or recent graduates considered.
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing or laboratory environments is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with physical lab testing equipment, including calipers, scales, and digital height gauges.
  • Strong statistical knowledge; Six Sigma Green Belt certification is desirable.
  • Project management knowledge and experience leading projects is ideal.

Skills:
  • Proficiency in computer applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, SPC, and/or MiniTab).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments and lead small teams.
  • Capable of managing a multi-task environment with excellent organizational skills.
