Role Summary:

The Procurement Specialist is a meticulous and proactive professional responsible for various tasks that support daily supply chain operations. This role requires a collaborative mindset and experience in issuing purchase orders, along with a foundational understanding of supply chain dynamics. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring timely procurement processes, confirming material deliveries, and assisting teams with requests for quotations (RFQs), equipment rentals, and service purchases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transform purchase requisitions into purchase orders efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate purchase order data within the ERP system.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration with relevant departments regarding purchase orders.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to address and prevent discrepancies.
  • Report any issues related to suppliers and customers promptly.
  • Work alongside the Procurement Manager to ensure timely processing of all purchase requisitions.
  • Engage with vendors to resolve issues swiftly and escalate when necessary.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is received to confirm deliveries.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as directed by management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exceptional organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).

Required Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years in inventory management, supply chain, or procurement.
  • Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree in marketing, supply chain management, business, or industrial distribution.
