Role Overview
The Supply Chain Qualification Manager will provide strategic oversight and direction for the Supply Chain Qualification functions. This includes managing supplier and contractor qualification processes, supporting operational supplier audits, and overseeing all procurement aspects of the supplier risk and qualification program at Air Liquide.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Supply Chain Qualification Team, focusing on supplier onboarding, qualification, audit activities, and compliance with supplier risk management programs.
- Act as the subject matter expert for BlueBook requirements and policies across the Americas.
- Ensure adherence to Air Liquide's Quality Management System (QMS) and BlueBook standards.
- Collaborate with various clusters to develop best practices and implement transformation initiatives related to Supplier Risk Management.
- Represent the Americas in core team discussions and policy development related to Supplier Risk Management.
- Facilitate collaboration with Group Procurement and the Americas Procurement community on supplier risk management matters.
- Lead transformational projects and initiatives with stakeholders as required.
- Serve as a key contributor to the implementation and ongoing use of Supplier Risk & Onboarding modules within the Digital Procurement Solution (DPS) platform.
- Develop and manage the annual supplier qualification plan in alignment with organizational goals.
- Implement continuous improvements in supplier application and qualification processes based on industry best practices.
- Establish and monitor KPIs and objectives for the Supply Chain Qualification team's performance.
- Maintain the Approved Supplier List and Pre-Screened Contractor List for the NAM Cluster.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to enhance communication and collaboration in the qualification and audit processes.
- Engage with suppliers and contractors to drive the qualification process effectively.
- Work with various departments to promote best practices in supplier qualification.
- Communicate updates on supplier and contractor qualifications to management and colleagues.
- Lead activities related to audits of Supplier Risk & Qualification Management.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the department.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to lead a diverse team.
- Support the professional growth of team members through training and mentorship.
- Maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, management, or a related business field.
- Experience: At least 5 years of progressive managerial experience in Supply Chain Management, Quality, Internal Audit, or Operations, with a strong understanding of quality systems.
- Preferred: Familiarity with BlueBook Procurement requirements and Air Liquide's Quality Management System.
