Senior Civil Engineering Project Leader
Job Summary: Huitt-Zollars is seeking a Licensed Professional Engineer in New Mexico to take on the role of Project Leader for Public Works and Transportation. This position is ideal for a seasoned transportation Project Leader with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience, proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Location: Rio Rancho, NM
Employment Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Required Registration: Professional Engineer License
Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and collaborate within a team to provide Project Management (PM) for public works and roadway infrastructure projects.
- Support initiatives focusing on public works and transportation, emphasizing agency coordination and project advancement.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is essential.
- Must hold a valid PE license in New Mexico with a minimum of 5-10 years of professional experience.
- At least 5 years of expertise in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is required.
- Experience in generating precise and comprehensive construction plans and documentation.
- Ability to work autonomously in a team setting and manage multiple projects with minimal oversight.
- Proficient in client interactions and leading a diverse team with varying levels of experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying engineering concepts clearly.
- Ability to mentor staff and conduct quality assurance reviews.
- Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities, self-driven, with a strong aptitude for meeting deadlines and resolving complex challenges.
