Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Expert Technical Support: Troubleshoot and repair complex equipment, provide technical guidance to customers, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Install and Service Equipment: Install, service, and repair complex electronic and electromechanical equipment, including site service, field process applications, and qualifications.
  • Train and Mentor Colleagues: Train and mentor other Field Service Engineers on specific product lines and company software.
  • Collaborate with Customers: Collaborate with customers to understand their needs, provide technical guidance, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: Stay current with industry developments, new technologies, and company software to ensure expertise and provide effective support.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Associate degree or bachelor's degree in a related engineering field, plus two years of experience or up to four years of experience installing/repairing semiconductor/electronic production equipment.
  • Advanced Troubleshooting Skills: Advanced electromechanical troubleshooting skills, including the ability to identify and solve complex process-related system problems.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with customers, management, and colleagues.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced PC skills, including Windows and MS Office suite, and knowledge of quality improvement process methods and terminology.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift/move up to 50 pounds, with visual acuity required.
  • Cleanroom Environment: Ability to work in a cleanroom environment up to 75% of the time, wearing proper cleanroom attire.
