CNC Manufacturing Engineer

Key Responsibilities of the CNC Manufacturing Engineer:
  • Engage in weekly travel to establish and nurture strong relationships with clients.
  • Provide customized consultations and expert guidance, laying the groundwork for enduring partnerships.
  • Deliver technical assistance both in-person and via phone for customers, sales teams, and during trade exhibitions related to CNC machinery.
  • Design and construct fixtures and work-holding devices for demonstrations, test cuts, and turnkey projects.
  • Analyze and resolve intricate manufacturing and machining challenges.
  • Conduct time assessments for customer components, maintaining a 10% tolerance.
  • Execute time studies and machine demonstrations tailored to client specifications.
  • Participate in training sessions with senior team members, internal training programs, and external resources.
  • Perform calculations for optimal speeds and feeds for part processing.
  • Create CNC programs for part processing using industry-standard CAM systems, along with direct G-Code and Macro programming.
  • Set up CNC machines, including programming, tooling, workpieces, and fixtures, with a focus on 5-axis and mill-turn setups. Configure and program a CMM.
  • Inspect finished components for quality and precision, generating engineering reports and technical documentation. Maintain frequent communication with internal technical teams, external clients, and suppliers.
Qualifications for the CNC Manufacturing Engineer:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline is preferred, though not mandatory.
  • Minimum of 2 to 10+ years of machining experience.
  • Proficiency in Mastercam, Fanuc, and 5-axis technology.
  • Solid understanding of part processing, metal cutting, CNC programming, blueprint interpretation, and machine setup, along with a basic grasp of metallurgy.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
