This role is integral to one of our Business Units, a collaborative team of engineers, supervisors, and technicians, working closely with our maintenance, controls, and safety departments to support a diverse range of Wolf appliances. The position is situated in a dynamic manufacturing environment where safety and quality are paramount, with a primary focus on supporting ongoing production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the maintenance of current production equipment and tools to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are achieved, with a strong focus on safety and quality metrics.
  • Develop and uphold standard operating procedures for assembly processes.
  • Establish and maintain time standards that correspond with the established procedures.
  • Design processes that prioritize ergonomics and the aesthetic quality of components.
  • Engage in hands-on activities, demonstrating a knack for innovative problem-solving.
  • Oversee tasks related to Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
  • Guide New Product Development (NPD) teams to ensure that new products are production-ready prior to their launch.
  • Create and manage assembly process layouts.
  • Collaborate daily with Business Unit staff to prioritize challenges and conduct root cause analyses.
  • Manage and execute tasks to support production requirements with minimal assistance.
  • Research, develop, and implement advanced manufacturing technologies and processes.
  • Coordinate with external contractors for equipment repairs, upgrades, or installations.
  • Initiate, develop, and execute cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Apply lean and Six Sigma principles during project execution.
  • Lead or participate in initiatives aimed at increasing manufacturing capacity to support sales growth.
  • Prepare capital investment requests and manage the implementation of capital equipment projects.
  • Ensure timely delivery of projects within scope and budget.
  • Communicate complex technical information effectively to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Propose design modifications to enhance Design for Assembly.
