Senior Fuel Systems Engineer

The Lead Mechanical Design Engineer at Acterra Group is integral to our innovative team, focusing on the design and installation of above-ground fuel storage solutions for essential facilities, including airports and military bases. Our fuel systems and storage solutions are crafted to adhere to the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, ensuring that the systems we implement are industry-leading.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop fuel storage solutions and components, ensuring alignment with industry regulations and standards.
- Work collaboratively with the COO, VP of Commercial Services, and other key stakeholders to establish and execute effective engineering designs.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems with electrical, software, and other project elements.
- Act as a primary communication liaison, ensuring clear and consistent interactions with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
- Adapt designs and methodologies to address changing requirements, emphasizing innovative solutions and the technical integrity of designs.
- Assist manufacturing and production teams to facilitate a smooth transition from design to production.
- Implement and enhance engineering processes, promoting continuous improvement in practices and performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, particularly in high-risk environments.
- Encourage a culture of excellence and accountability within the organization.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of thriving in a collaborative team environment.
- Proven ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, with a Professional Engineering license or Master's degree preferred.
- Extensive experience with drawing layouts and proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB).
