Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Automation Systems Engineer to provide essential engineering support across various manufacturing operations. This role is pivotal in the design, development, and implementation of PLC projects, ensuring seamless production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide daily engineering assistance to manufacturing areas, ensuring optimal performance and compliance.
2. Support the design and implementation of PLC systems, with a focus on Rockwell Control Logix PLC code.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address manufacturing compliance and regulatory issues.
4. Conduct engineering studies on new equipment, gathering data during startup and testing phases.
5. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to the enhancement of operational efficiency.
6. Perform troubleshooting and problem resolution for existing and new equipment/systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics preferred).
- Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLCs and servo control systems is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics and hands-on mechanical skills.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley Control Logix, Safety PLCs).
- Knowledge of HMI systems and communication protocols (TCP/IP, RS-232, Profibus).
- Experience with robotics and vision systems is a plus.
Work Environment:
- This position requires flexibility to move between office and production areas, including clean room environments.
- Ability to ascend/descend ladders to access machinery as needed.
