Position Overview:

The Retail Associate plays a crucial role in our retail operations. This position supports store management in delivering outstanding brand and customer interactions, enhances store revenue, and contributes to overall profitability. Adheres to marketing strategies and promotional initiatives that aim to boost sales and expand our customer base. Maintains high standards of store presentation and fosters a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful service both in-store and through other communication channels.
  • Greets customers warmly and strives to ensure they have a pleasant shopping experience.
  • Assists customers in locating products and goes the extra mile to create a memorable shopping journey; suggests items that meet their needs and drive sales.
  • Facilitates special orders, exchanges, returns, and in-store orders.
  • Utilizes the POS system effectively for sales transactions.
  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of the product range, engages in training sessions, and shares knowledge about our apparel and accessories with customers.
  • Participates in inventory management, order processing, and organization of the stockroom.
  • Assists management with routine cleaning tasks to ensure a tidy and organized store environment.
  • Adheres to inventory control and loss prevention protocols.
  • Contributes to merchandising efforts, store layout changes, and visual presentation strategies to enhance customer experience.
  • Follows all safety and security guidelines and operates within established protocols at all times.
Qualifications:
  • A passion for outdoor activities is highly valued, particularly interests in climbing, yoga, or running, along with a commitment to environmentally sustainable practices.
  • Experience in retail sales or customer service, particularly in specialty retail or outdoor apparel, is advantageous.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Availability for a flexible schedule based on business requirements, including evenings and weekends, is essential.
Physical Requirements:

To succeed in this role, individuals must be able to perform essential job functions effectively. Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.
  • Occasionally requires the ability to remain stationary.
  • Constantly requires the ability to move throughout the store and communicate with others (customers and colleagues).
  • Frequently involves adjusting or moving items weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • A detailed physical requirements document is available.
Compensation:

The pay range for this position is $17 - $24.48 per hour.
Expected Pay Range for Hire: $17 - $18 per hour.
*Compensation decisions are influenced by various factors, including market rates, candidate qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
