Job Summary

Tuerk House is a leading provider of addiction treatment services, recognized for its excellence in patient care and recovery support. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bilingual Intake Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient delivery of services
  • Greets and assists visitors, clients, and consumers in a polite and respectful manner
  • Answers and directs incoming telephone calls, routes calls to appropriate recipients, and records messages accurately
  • Verifies client identity, issues temporary badges, and ensures sign-in and direction to waiting areas
  • Assists clients in completing documents, compiles documents, and creates admissions packets
  • Ensures all documents are signed and dated
  • Provides instructions on urine specimen collection and checks insurance eligibility
  • Assigns SAMIS numbers, records clients' SAMIS numbers, and updates daily census
  • Communicates with Peer Recovery Specialists and records census daily
  • Emails census reports to staff personnel daily
Requirements
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
  • Must be empathetic, patient, and compassionate with clients
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively with internal staff, clients, and vendors
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Must be fluent in Spanish and English
  • Associates of Arts (AA) degree (Preferred)
  • High school graduate or equivalent (Required)
  • Minimum 2 – 3 yrs. work experience in a professional office setting
  • Experience operating a multi-line phone and paging system (Required)
