Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist is an entry-level position that compiles and maintains accounts payable records and processes vendor invoices for payment. This role is open to fully remote work options.
Key Responsibilities:- Process vendor invoices and payments utilizing company workflow guidelines.
- Receive and manage vendor communications, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Responsible for AP record keeping, scanning all payable invoices into the company's electronic system.
- Receive and process invoices against purchase orders, entering AP invoices in the Accounting System.
- Follow up on invoicing issues, resolving discrepancies and communicating with vendors as necessary.
- Process all payables, including internal payables and other related transactions.
- Assist in monthly closings, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Assist with audits and special projects as necessary, providing support to the Accounting team.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite, including basic knowledge of Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact with vendors and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time, with occasional standing and walking.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Basic math skills, with the ability to perform calculations and reconcile discrepancies.
