Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Statement Preparation: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries, to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Accounting Function Coordination: Coordinate with various departments, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Project Managers, to support processes, procedures, and general ledger maintenance.
- Treasury Management: Assist in performing treasury management functions, including daily cash analysis, recording of ACH and wire payments, weekly check run processing, and submission of positive pay files, and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Capital Expenditure Tracking: Assist with capital expenditure tracking and fixed asset reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Credit Card Maintenance: Assist with credit card maintenance, including issuing new company credit cards and analyzing monthly expenditures.
- External Audits: Assist with external audits, including financial, insurance, and other audits, to ensure efficient and accurate audit processes.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Facilitate ad hoc projects, including sales tax review, new systems implementation, and other projects as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- ERP system experience preferred.
- Experience in accounting or finance in a corporate accounting role or similar.
- Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members.
- Strong ownership of work product; must care strongly about completing work correctly and on time.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously with accuracy while maintaining a positive attitude.
- High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability.
- Superior analytical and organizational skills, including the ability to develop graphs, tables, presentations, and templates in order to convey information clearly, concisely, and effectively.
- Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries in working with clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as be a part of the team with minimal day-to-day supervision - must be self-directed.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude, self-motivation, empathy, and resourcefulness while maintaining a reputation that reflects proactive team participation. Is client focused and presents a willingness to assist where/when needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both internal and external contacts including active listening, developing rapport and resolving conflict.
- Ability to assess and resolve inquiries and concerns from all functional areas, responding timely and effectively. Understand when to elevate a situation to the next level.
