HR Generalist Job Description

Strategy Financial Group, a leading financial advisor firm in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a part-time HR Generalist to support the growth and success of our organization.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of HR laws, regulations, and best practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The HR Generalist will be responsible for performing various HR-related duties, including recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, HR administration, benefits and compensation, and training and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruitment and Onboarding:
    • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management
    • Coordinate a new hire orientation and ensure a seamless onboarding process for new employees
  • Employee Relations:
    • Act as point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances, providing timely and effective resolutions
    • Conduct investigations into employee complaints and conflicts and recommend appropriate actions in compliance with company policies and legal regulations
  • HR Administration:
    • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and regulations
    • Process employee changes such as promotions, transfers, and termination promptly
    • Prepare HR-related reports and data analysis as needed
  • Benefits and Compensation:
    • Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave management
    • Support compensation planning and analysis, including salary benchmarking and job evaluations
  • Training and Development:
    • Coordinate employee training and development initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge within the organization
    • Collaborate with department heads to identify training needs and facilitate the implementation of training programs
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in HR roles
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in HRIS and MS Office applications
  • HR certification (e.g. SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and other CRM software preferred
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
Salary and Benefits:
  • $50,000 - $60,000/year
  • Incentive bonus
Work Schedule:
  • 20-25 hours per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday)
