Position Title: Contract Crisis Prevention Specialist

Location: Clinical Las Vegas/Boulder City

Compensation: Competitive Rates

We are seeking multiple contractors to deliver Crisis Stabilization services for children and youth within Specialized Foster Care settings.

This is a contractual role, compensated at $25.00 per session hour.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a human, social services, or behavioral discipline, with a solid understanding of mental health treatment services and case documentation standards.

Liability insurance coverage of $1,000,000.00 is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Duties:

  • Document treatment progress notes for each session that meet medical necessity criteria.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for each assigned client, establishing measurable goals and objectives.
  • Maintain and update 90-day treatment plans to assess treatment effectiveness.
  • Foster and sustain positive professional relationships with the treatment team, community organizations, government representatives, and clients.
  • Engage in monthly clinical supervision with the Clinical Director or designated personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with service contract stipulations and Medicaid Service Manual Chapter 4000.

Program Responsibilities:

  • Implement crisis stabilization and behavioral modification strategies with assigned clients to address behavioral challenges and avert crises.
  • Monitor, document, and consult with supervisors regularly regarding clients' signs, symptoms, and treatment progress.
  • Collaborate with each client's treatment team to ensure seamless continuity of care.
  • Exhibit positive role modeling and leadership qualities for clients.
  • Maintain consistent attendance at scheduled treatment sessions and meetings.
  • Interact respectfully with all clients, ensuring an unbiased approach.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Mandatory:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a human, social services, or behavioral field, with a comprehensive understanding of mental health treatment services and documentation requirements.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or human services.
  • Enrollment in a graduate program for social work, psychology, or sociology.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in administering crisis stabilization and behavioral modification interventions.

General Requirements:

  • Valid Nevada State Driver's License with a good driving record, ability to provide personal transportation, and proof of current automobile insurance.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • Completion of annual continuing education as mandated by the Department of Family Services and Medicaid to maintain approved provider status.
  • Minimum age of 21 years.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, reach, and walk briskly to interact with and monitor children.
  • Stamina to work extended hours.
  • Capability to lift moderate to heavy weights, up to 60 pounds unassisted and up to 120 pounds with assistance.

Visual and Cognitive Demands:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Aptitude to follow and give verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to read fine print and maintain sustained and peripheral vision.

Environmental Demands:

Work environments may include clinics, community settings, and in-home situations with varying levels of background noise. Light and ventilation are standard in typical clinic and home settings.

Potential Hazards:

  • Risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens if universal precautions are not adhered to.
  • Possibility of injury when lifting or interacting with children or objects if proper techniques are not utilized.
