About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Community Director to join our team at Axis Residential, LLC. As a Community Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our residential communities, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead a high-performing team of office staff to achieve operational excellence.
  • Develop and maintain a strong community culture that enhances the quality of life for our residents.
  • Provide ongoing training and performance evaluations to ensure team members are equipped to meet their roles.
  • Participate in resident-led events and activities to foster a sense of community.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to drive leasing activities and build strong relationships with current and prospective residents.
  • Establish and maintain occupancy and revenue goals for the community.
  • Oversee daily operations to achieve financial objectives and budgets.
  • Ensure the physical well-being and curb appeal of the community through regular property inspections and maintenance.
  • Stay informed about local market conditions and make strategic recommendations to improve the community's performance.
  • Ensure thorough application and credit checks for prospective residents.
  • Manage liability insurance and ensure timely submission of invoices.
  • Exercise sound judgment regarding property expenditures and ensure timely and accurate submission of all invoices.
  • Take a proactive approach to vacancies by achieving timely unit turnover and implementing a marketing program to pre-lease apartments.
  • Ensure timely service and enforcement of evictions for non-payment of rent and violation of community rules and regulations.
  • Assist the Portfolio Manager with various tasks, including bid collection for annual budget preparation and financial variance reporting.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Comply with all Fair Housing Laws.
Requirements
  • A professional and relationship-focused Community Director with experience in multifamily property management.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Determined, ambitious, and self-motivated individual.
  • Prior experience in financial management, including understanding of financial statements, budgets, and invoicing.
  • Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office, Google-Suite, property management software, and CRM solutions.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
  • High School diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • Valid driver's license and insured, operable vehicle.

  • Competitive salary, starting at $73,000 - $75,000 (based on experience).

Physical Requirements

  • Manual Dexterity: frequent fine motor skills.

Environmental and Safety Factors
  • Weather: work is primarily indoors in a temperature-controlled office environment with occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including uneven and slippery surfaces.
  • Noise: frequent exposure to typical office environment noise levels including conversational voice levels; infrequent exposure to high-volume office equipment (e.g., shredder).
  • Pace of Work: great, multi-tasking/pressure paced environment.
  • Driving: exposure to environmental and safety conditions related to operating a motor vehicle, including the possibility of bodily injury related to motor vehicle collisions.
