Job Description Summary

The role of the Technical Solutions Consultant is crucial in facilitating technical sales and assisting clients in aligning their business needs with our innovative IT solutions.

This professional engages with potential clients to effectively navigate the New Charter Technologies process, ensuring a smooth integration of technical requirements and services.

A key responsibility includes articulating genuine value propositions to clients, generating excitement about their journey with our offerings.

In addition to maintaining a high level of expertise in enterprise technology, the Technical Solutions Consultant serves a diverse clientele, including small to medium-sized businesses, government entities, and defense organizations.

The focus is on collaboratively developing and implementing strategies that drive client success.

As a proactive contributor, you will take on the role of a solutions architect or lead in proposal development, overseeing elements such as pricing and enhancing the quality of client solutions.

Your expertise and dedication are vital in delivering impactful and customized IT solutions for our esteemed clients.
Primary Responsibilities

Leverage IT product and service knowledge to assess the operational and financial implications for clients through proposals while recommending suitable solutions.

Manage the execution of solutions from initial site assessment, proposal creation, project kickoff, quality assurance, to ongoing account management.
Design tailored IT solutions that align with clients' long-term objectives and technological requirements, ensuring feasibility and practicality.
Develop detailed solution architectures, technical documentation, and presentations.

Participate in the preparation of RFI/RFP submissions, bid coordination, client qualification, discovery and requirement gathering, product demonstrations, technical discussions, and design proposals.

Engage in client relationship and retention initiatives.
Interact with clients during pre-sales meetings to highlight the technical aspects of our solutions.
Collaborate with internal teams, including project managers and engineers, to ensure a seamless transition from pre-sales to implementation.
Stay informed about the latest technology trends and best practices in the Managed Services Provider sector.
Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in an IT-related or engineering role.
3+ years in a customer-facing sales or pre-sales capacity.
Experience in the IT Managed Services industry is essential.

Bachelor's degree in:
Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or Business preferred.
Comprehensive understanding of IT Infrastructure, Cloud Services, Network Solutions, and Managed Services.
Strong familiarity with the public sector is highly desirable.
Robust business acumen.

Preferred Certifications
CompTIA, CCNP, CCNA, CISA, or CISSP
Physical Requirements
Work primarily involves knowledge-based tasks using computer systems. Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds may be required. Some crawling, kneeling, and squatting may be necessary. Constant use of computer (keyboard/mouse) and phone. Regular visual inspection and analysis of data and figures. Occasional travel may be required.
