This dynamic individual will play a pivotal role in driving business success by partnering with key stakeholders, including the Culinary Director, General Manager, and Director of Beverage. To excel in this position, the ideal candidate must possess strong leadership skills, a competitive spirit, and a passion for creating exceptional cuisine.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing kitchen team, ensuring excellence and hospitality throughout each service period.
  • Cultivate and coach the Sous Chef team to deliver consistent food execution and timely service flow through effective expediting.
  • Continuously enhance, refine, and update culinary programming to maintain industry leadership status.
  • Establish standards for recipes, products, food preparation, and food execution, holding the team accountable to meeting restaurant specifications and commitments to culinary excellence and food safety.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to foster a positive, collaborative work environment for both service and kitchen teams, promoting clear communication at all times.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to team members, ensuring pathways for growth and development are accessible to all.
  • Pursue internal and external opportunities to build a diverse team aligned with company goals of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
  • Foster trusting relationships with leaders to facilitate communication, collaboration, support, and sharing of best practices for informed decision-making.
  • Partner with Home Office departments to ensure alignment and support rollouts, training, and communication of company-wide initiatives.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of significant culinary leadership experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, restaurant scheduling, inventory, and purchasing experience.
  • English fluency; Spanish proficiency preferred but not required.
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
