Key Responsibilities:
As a Controls Engineer, your role will involve:
- Analyzing and interpreting technical plans, specifications, and control schematics.
- Conducting hardware and software engineering, as well as network-level commissioning for Building Automation Systems on both new and retrofit projects.
- Evaluating project financials and applying value engineering principles to assess cost implications.
- Developing innovative processes to ensure efficient controls engineering while maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.
- Communicating effectively with management, clients, and field teams.
- Creating operational sequences and procedural documentation.
This position reports to the BAS Controls Engineering Manager and is part of a dynamic team dedicated to supporting our expanding business initiatives.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Industrial Automation & Controls (Mechanical or Electrical preferred) or a comparable qualification.
- 3-5 years of experience with AutoCAD or similar design software.
- Experience with commercial HVAC systems installation and operation.
- Familiarity with construction, renovation, or retrofit projects in commercial settings.
