Job Summary

Carespring Healthcare Management is seeking a highly skilled Regional MDS Coordinator to join our team in Loveland, OH. As a key member of our healthcare operations team, you will be responsible for assessing patients in our Ohio and Kentucky facilities to ensure their care needs are addressed and documented.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Train new MDS Coordinators and MDS Nurses to conduct resident assessments, develop plans of care, and document clinical records.
  • Serve as RN Resident Assessment Coordinator (RAC) or MDS Nurse as needed.
  • Assist with MDS completion and provide comprehensive training for systems related to patient assessment instruments and clinical software.
  • Monitor RAI process for accuracy and completeness, and maintain a working knowledge of PDPM and Case Mix in the state where the facility is located.
  • Assist facilities with surveys and survey preparedness, and maintain the ability to obtain and review QI/QM's.
  • Travel to various facilities to educate licensed and non-licensed staff, and attend IDT Medicare meetings to collaborate with the IDT to complete the MDS process.
Requirements:
  • A current LPN or RN license in Ohio and/or Kentucky.
  • 3-5 years MDS/RAI experience preferred.
  • Flexibility with your work schedule and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent professionalism and organization skills, solid communication and teaching/training skills.
  • The ability to positively interact and communicate with the leadership team in multiple facilities.
  • An understanding of the MDS process and a willingness to continue to learn and remain current with MDS updates set by CMS.
