  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Working Hours: 1 PM to 9 PM
  • This position is entry-level; an FAA flight dispatcher license is not a prerequisite.

Reporting Structure:

  • Responsible for monitoring company aircraft operations in alignment with established procedures and Federal Aviation Administration regulations.
  • Facilitates coordination of scheduled and on-demand flights with clients and internal teams to guarantee safe and efficient service delivery.
  • Collaborates closely with the Flight and Maintenance Departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engages with clients to coordinate the transport of high-priority shipments, ensuring adherence to critical delivery timelines.
  • Works in conjunction with Flight Crew Members to make essential go/no-go flight release decisions, prioritizing safety and operational efficiency.
  • Develops timely and effective contingency plans to address service disruptions caused by weather, air traffic control, mechanical issues, etc.
  • Prepares routine reports and correspondence.
  • Collects and inputs flight data accurately.
  • May assist with aircraft handling, including operating ground power units to initiate aircraft.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Strong aviation background with a fundamental understanding of aviation weather, flight planning, and FAR91 or FAR135 regulations is preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • A high school diploma or GED certificate is required; college education or aviation trade school experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, government regulations, and procedural manuals, as well as understand technical instructions provided in written or verbal form.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, is necessary.
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. is required.
  • Must meet airport badging requirements, including a TSA Security background check.
  • A valid Driver's License and compliance with all company insurance criteria are mandatory.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ameriflight participates in E-Verify.
