About the Role:

Carespring Healthcare Management is seeking a highly skilled Regional MDS Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assessing patients in our Ohio and Kentucky facilities to ensure their care needs are met and documented accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train new MDS Coordinators/MDS Nurses on resident assessments, care planning, and documentation.
  • Assist with Minimum Data Sets (MDSs) completion and ensure accuracy and completeness of RAI process.
  • Provide comprehensive training on patient assessment instruments, clinical software, and reimbursement systems.
  • Monitor RAI process for accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with IDT to initiate improvement projects to improve resident outcomes.
  • Review and ensure accuracy of supportive documentation according to MDS/RAI regulations.
  • Travel to various facilities to provide training and support.

Requirements:

  • Current LPN or RN license in Ohio and/or Kentucky.
  • 3-5 years MDS/RAI experience preferred.
  • Flexibility with work schedule and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent professionalism and organization skills.
  • Solid communication and teaching/training skills.
  • Ability to positively interact and communicate with leadership teams in multiple facilities.
  • Understanding of MDS process and willingness to continue learning and staying current with MDS updates.
  • Desire to provide consultation, guidance, support, research, analysis, training, and expertise in care delivery and services.
  • Willingness to obtain/maintain a current MDS Certification within 60 days of hire.
