We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Catheterization Lab team in Harker Heights, TX, for day shifts on a full-time basis.

  • Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care facility offering a range of services including Cardiology, Emergency Services, and a Level IV Trauma Designated ER, as well as General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, and Diagnostic Services.

Key Responsibilities

This role involves delivering personalized, professional, and high-quality patient care, ensuring excellent internal and external customer service, and taking accountability for patient outcomes. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing nursing care that encompasses assessment, planning, implementation, management, and evaluation of patient care in accordance with nursing standards and operational protocols.
  • Transporting patients to and from the Cardiovascular Laboratory.
  • Preparing all necessary departmental documentation.
  • Entering and retrieving patient data from the Hospital Information System (HIS).
  • Offering nursing care or education in other nursing units as needed.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • Completion of educational requirements for Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with the Texas Board of Nursing or a valid multi-state license through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience is required; critical care experience is preferred.
  • Commitment to obtaining a BSN degree within four (4) years of hire.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required upon hire.
  • ACLS certification must be obtained within six months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years of nursing experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a cardiovascular setting is advantageous.
