Key Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse is accountable for the assessment and delivery of both direct and indirect patient care. This includes formulating nursing care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams, as well as effectively communicating any changes in the patient's condition to Physicians and Nursing Supervisors.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
- Completion of educational requirements for Texas Registered Nurse licensure.
- Possession of a current Registered Nurse license from the Texas Board of Nursing or a valid multi-state license through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
- Commitment to obtaining a BSN degree within four years of hire.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required upon hire.
- ACLS certification from the American Heart Association must be obtained within six months.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience in an Emergency Room setting is preferred.
