Key Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, personalized patient care. Responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs.
- Ensuring efficient transportation of patients to and from the Cardiovascular Laboratory.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation in the Hospital Information System (HIS).
- Offering nursing support and education across various units as needed.
- Keeping the work environment organized and sanitary.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
- Completion of educational requirements for Texas Registered Nurse licensure.
- Current RN license from Texas Board of Nursing or a multi-state license through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
- A minimum of one year of nursing experience is required; critical care experience is preferred.
- Commitment to obtaining a BSN degree within four years of hire.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required upon hire.
- ACLS certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three years of nursing experience is preferred.
- Previous experience in a cardiovascular setting is advantageous.
