Key Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality, personalized patient care, ensuring excellent service to both internal and external customers, and maintaining accountability for patient outcomes. Duties include:
- Conducting patient assessments, planning and implementing care, and evaluating patient progress according to established nursing standards.
- Transporting patients to and from the Cardiovascular Laboratory and managing all necessary documentation.
- Utilizing the Hospital Information System (HIS) for patient data management.
- Providing nursing care or education in other departments as needed and ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
- Completion of education necessary for Texas Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Current RN license from Texas Board of Nursing or a valid multi-state license.
- A minimum of one year of nursing experience is required; critical care experience is preferred.
- Commitment to obtaining a BSN degree within four years of employment.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required upon hire.
- ACLS certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three years of nursing experience is preferred.
- Experience in a cardiovascular care setting is highly regarded.
