Key Responsibilities
This role involves delivering high-quality, personalized patient care, ensuring excellent customer service, and taking accountability for patient outcomes. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting patient assessments, planning and implementing care, and evaluating patient progress according to nursing standards.
- Transporting patients to and from the Cardiovascular Laboratory.
- Preparing necessary documentation and managing patient information within the Hospital Information System (HIS).
- Providing nursing care or education in other units as needed and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
- Completion of educational requirements for Texas Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
- Current RN license with the Texas Board of Nursing or a valid multi-state license.
- A minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience is required; critical care experience is preferred.
- Commitment to obtaining a BSN degree within four (4) years of hire.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required upon hire.
- ACLS certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three (3) years of nursing experience is preferred.
- Prior experience in a cardiovascular setting is advantageous.
