Job Overview:

Summary:
This role encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities that facilitate the daily functions and strategic initiatives of the Human Resources Department.

Reports directly to the Regional Human Resources Director and engages extensively with Executive Staff, On-site General Managers, Supervisors, and Employees.

The scope of work includes talent acquisition, onboarding processes, payroll management, and enhancing the Company Culture.

Key Responsibilities:
Serves as a point of contact between employees and management to address inquiries or concerns regarding company policies, practices, and regulations.


Oversees the complete recruitment cycle for both exempt and non-exempt positions, which includes evaluating staffing needs, posting job openings, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, consulting with managers on hiring decisions, and extending job offers.


Designs, implements, and refines an effective onboarding program for new hires that aligns with corporate and local standards, promoting the retention of top talent.


Develops, executes, and manages a staffing strategy in collaboration with executive leadership to ensure timely fulfillment of all roles and maintenance of succession plans.


Assists the Director of Client and Employee Experience in executing and managing programs and events that enhance employee engagement, retention, and alignment with corporate culture and values.

This includes recognition initiatives, social gatherings, outings, and charitable activities.


Manages the exit process, which encompasses the collection of final documents, conducting exit interviews, and ensuring the distribution of necessary documents/final paychecks to supervisors or departed employees.

Completes all required internal notifications regarding separations.

Administers leaves of absence while applying relevant Federal and State law entitlements to each individual case. This includes tracking leaves, necessary correspondence and documentation, and updating supervisors on employees' return dates.

Handles claims for unemployment insurance, including preparing supporting documentation and managing the appeals process.

Processes bi-weekly payroll and submits payroll updates prior to the conclusion of the pay period.

Conducts monthly visits to all regional offices to foster relationships, collaborate, and provide HR support.

This position necessitates 3 days in the office and offers a salary range of $70,000-$75,000.


The aforementioned functions are illustrative of the types of work performed by employees assigned to this job classification. Management retains the right to add, modify, change, or rescind the work of different assignment positions.

Qualifications:
Requires 1-2 years of relevant HR experience as a HR Specialist or in a related role. A BA/BS in Human Resources, a Human Resources Certificate, or education in Business or a related field is preferred.

Requires 1-2 years of experience in recruitment.


Familiarity with Federal and California employment laws such as ADA, FMLA, and California Leave laws and benefits, with the proven ability to understand and apply such legal requirements, as well as interpret and apply complex policies.

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills are essential.

Must exhibit meticulous attention to detail and organization, with excellent follow-through and analytical capabilities.

Must be capable of working independently and proactively addressing issues.

Problem-solving, project management, and presentation skills are required.

Ability to effectively interface with all levels of employees and managers. Strong persuasion and conflict resolution skills are necessary.


Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, including strong proofreading abilities and the capacity to interact with others inside and outside of the Company in a positive and professional manner.
