Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Executive Director of Federal Business Development to join our team at Hendall Inc. This is a critical role that requires a proven track record of identifying, winning, and overseeing new business opportunities in the Federal Agency marketplace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Identify leads for new business opportunities and develop and execute capture strategies to secure identified work.
  • Market Research: Monitor government acquisition notices to identify those that align with Hendall's capabilities and goals.
  • Relationship Building: Maintain relationships with various government leaders to identify, pursue, and secure new client opportunities.
  • Opportunity Analysis: Research and analyze opportunities based upon resource capabilities, teaming options, incumbent strengths and weaknesses, competing providers, and budget and schedule requirements.
  • Capture and Proposal Lifecycle: Lead the capture and proposal lifecycle for specific opportunities.
  • Contract Oversight: Provide operational oversight and direct supervision for contracts that are secured.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify, escalate, and resolve issues affecting successful project performance.
  • Content Creation: Author proposals, white papers, standard operating procedures, and other content.
  • Reporting: Present frequent executive-level reports, which include qualifying statuses of both in process bids and pipeline opportunities.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree
  • Experience: 8+ years of relevant business development background in the federal sector
  • Capture Experience: 5+ years leading the capture lifecycle with a demonstrated track record of identifying and qualifying opportunities and managing winning proposals successfully driving new revenue
  • Project Management: 5+ years of project and/or program management background
  • Contract Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge with the FAR, BPAs, IDIQ, contract vehicles, teaming agreements and the government contract lifecycle
  • Pipeline Development: A current pipeline built upon existing client and partner relationships
  • Skills: Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, aggressive sales-oriented philosophy, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, ability to problem solve, generate ideas, and sell the solution
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
