Senior Sales Executive

Intertek is seeking a highly skilled Senior Sales Executive to join our Connected World team in Lexington, KY. This is an exciting opportunity to grow a versatile career in Sales & Business Development.

The Senior Sales Executive will be responsible for driving the growth of assigned key accounts and identifying new business opportunities. This role will involve extensive travel, with a minimum of 50% of the time spent on the road.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Achieve all sales targets, including quotes, orders, and revenue.
  • Effectively research potential new customers and anticipate their needs.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to develop accounts with new customers.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to win additional business from key accounts through new contacts and services.
  • Develop highly valuable relationships with customer contacts to ensure account growth and achievement of targets.
  • Resolve customer needs, issues, and complaints in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop and implement marketing strategies.
  • Monitor competitor activities and recommend changes to strategic plans as needed.
  • Present services to customers on a regular basis via on-site visits and virtual meetings.
  • Develop competitive and accurate proposals to win business.
  • Update the CRM database in a timely manner, including all customer contact.
  • Facilitate account transition between inside and outside sales teams as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of successful direct sales and/or account management experience, including B2B sales experience.
  • Ability to learn and understand Intertek's service offerings and effectively articulate services to customers.
  • Ability to consistently close deals to achieve order and revenue targets.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Ability to effectively influence client decisions and negotiate competitive deals.
  • Model Intertek's 10X Energies at all times within the workplace.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented and able to effectively prioritize and organize workload, with efficient time management.
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal, written, and presentation formats.
  • Must possess the fundamental technical and administrative skills required to perform the job duties.
  • Customer-focused and quality-driven.
  • Ability to travel as business needs dictate.
Preferred Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or other directly relevant field.
