About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team at the State of Connecticut, Department of Administrative Services. As an Office Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our executive staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our office, and providing exceptional customer service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to executive staff, including answering phones, responding to emails, and preparing correspondence.
- Manage office supplies, maintain inventory, and order new supplies as needed.
- Perform data entry, maintain records, and ensure accurate and timely filing of documents.
- Assist with special projects, events, and meetings as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years of general clerical work experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
