About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal RF Design Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our Radar Systems department, you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge radar systems that meet the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Lead the design and development of radar systems, including transmitters, receivers, and exciters, using advanced RF design tools and techniques.
  • Architecture Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement radar system architectures that meet performance, cost, and schedule requirements.
  • Requirements Analysis: Analyze and document system requirements, including performance, safety, and environmental considerations.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior engineers and technicians, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including program managers, engineers, and technicians, to ensure that radar system designs meet customer needs and requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in RF design and development, with a strong background in radar systems and technology.
  • Skills: Proficiency in RF design tools, such as HFSS, ADS, and CST, as well as experience with electromagnetic simulation and analysis.
  • Certifications: Possession of a U.S. government-issued security clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Industry Experience: Experience working in the aerospace and defense industry, with a strong understanding of radar systems and technology.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages, such as C++, Python, or MATLAB, as well as experience with data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Leadership Experience: Experience leading cross-functional teams and providing technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
