Job Summary

The Receiver, Exciter, and Back-End Processing (REBEP) Department at Raytheon is seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Design Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating RF systems and components for Raytheon's Radar Receiver, Exciter, and Transmitter products.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop transmitters, receivers, or exciters, utilizing advanced RF system theory and design principles.
  • Optimize RF circuits, including chains of components and individual parts, to meet performance and efficiency requirements.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including power, digital, and mechanical engineers, to ensure seamless integration of RF systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including schematics and RF routing designs.
  • Transition RF systems to production, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years' experience in RF system design and development, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years' experience.
  • Proven experience with Microwave/RF system analysis, design, and test, as well as analytical tools such as MATLAB.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance, with U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with simulation tools, such as ADS, SystemVUE, and/or MentorGraphics' Xpedition.
  • Background in designing for manufacturability, producibility, and cost constraints, including yield and margin analysis.
  • Problem-solving skills, with the ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome difficult technical challenges.
  • Experience in technical writing and oral presentations.
