Job Title: Administrative Coordinator
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Administrative Coordinator to join our team at Mount Sinai Health System. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the department, including purchasing, payroll, records control, and human resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee administrative direct reports and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Assist in maintaining and monitoring the budget and grant allocations.
- Prepare documents required to maintain balanced accounts for review and approval.
- Initiate and follow through on human resources and payroll transactions.
- Generate weekly payroll submission and maintain liaison with human resources and payroll to coordinate and resolve issues and problems.
- Take inventory or examine merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished.
- Requisition merchandise from supplier and collaborate with Purchasing to secure the best pricing for equipment and supplies.
- Assist in the planning and logistical arrangements for forums, conferences, seminars, meetings, and/or visiting professorships.
- Check materials submitted for supervisors' attention to ensure all relevant data, authorizations, and pertinent information are included.
- Mentor, train, and/or conduct orientation for new office support staff and monitor performance.
- Coordinate administrative, secretarial, and/or general office support coverage.
- Assign work, set deadlines, and supervise the work of assigned staff.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of applicable 5 years related administrative or business experience required.
