About the Team
The Legal, Risk & Compliance (LRC) team at Airwallex is a dynamic group of legal and risk management professionals.

We are dedicated to protecting Airwallex's operations, promoting a culture of compliance and ethical practices, and ensuring that we navigate the global financial landscape with integrity.

Our team provides expert guidance and support across all business areas, proactively identifying, mitigating, and managing legal and financial risks.

Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a Senior Compliance QA Manager to join our Global Program and Standards team to oversee quality assurance and testing initiatives.

The Senior Compliance QA Manager will be tasked with maintaining the QA framework, developing the QA strategy, and executing QA activities to ensure our policies and procedures are effectively implemented.

In addition to conducting QA assessments and providing recommendations, this role will evaluate enhancements to Airwallex's financial crime controls to address potential vulnerabilities and risks.

The ideal candidate will possess a knack for solving intricate problems, pursuing innovative solutions, and working efficiently while ensuring thorough outcomes.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting Financial Crime Compliance QA assessments based on regulatory standards, processes, policies, and procedures to evaluate controls within the first and second lines of defense.
  • Understanding relevant regulatory requirements to ensure testing is effectively designed to identify potential control deficiencies and non-compliance with applicable laws.
  • Managing the planning, execution, and reporting phases of the QA assessment.
  • Escalating potential issues and exceptions identified during the review process to senior management.
  • Ensuring stakeholders take appropriate actions to address all draft recommendations and deficiencies noted during the assessment.
  • Preparing and distributing testing reports to senior management that detail findings and recommendations.
  • Documenting QA assessments with sufficient detail for third-party understanding of the process and results.
  • Considering Airwallex's risk appetite and culture in daily activities and decision-making.

Who You Are
We seek candidates who meet the essential qualifications for the role. Preferred qualifications are advantageous but not mandatory.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in QA, testing, and governance roles related to financial crimes, AML, sanctions, fraud, risk, or a similar field.
  • Familiarity with the fintech and payments sector.
  • Strong research and writing capabilities, including drafting QA reports.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to synthesize large volumes of information.
  • Discretion in handling sensitive issues.

Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in both English and Chinese.

Compensation Range:
$127K - $218K

Benefits:
US-based employees are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability, basic life insurance, and well-being benefits. Additionally, employees receive 20 paid vacation days and 12 paid company holidays each year.
