Sales Representative

M.S. Walker is seeking an experienced and accomplished Sales Representative in the Brooklyn area who shares our deep passion for wine, an appreciation for the burgeoning spirits market, and is dedicated to the competitive sport of selling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management: Develop new business and maintain existing customer and relationships, achieve sales growth in-line with stated overall sales goals, and analyze account base to identify opportunities and discuss product needs through a relationship-based selling approach.
- Product Knowledge: Stay current and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of wine varietals and international wines in addition to all M.S. Walker products, including current prices, vintages, regional identity, awards, and press.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Contribute to team effort in accomplishing goals, collaborate with colleagues to exchange information such as selling strategies or marketing information, and work with management to achieve company objectives and individual goals.
- Professional Development: Successfully engage in and complete a paid 2-4 week in-field training and immersion program to integrate and learn the MSW sales process and product offerings, and engage in continuous self-education and professional development.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fine wine wholesale, distribution, and/or importing with established client relationships.
- Superior wine and spirits knowledge.
- Effective self and time management skills.
- Goal-oriented, strong work ethic, positive mental attitude, and a team player.
- Outstanding relationship building and selling skills.
- Excellent organization, follow-up, and communication skills.
- Ability to walk, sit, stand, reach overhead, and lift up to 45lbs.
- Valid driver's license required.
Compensation and Benefits:
- The salary is commission-based with an earnings range of $50-225K.
